Palestinian calls to confront settlers´ marches in the West Bank on Monday

The Popular Resistance Committees and the Palestinian forces and factions called today, Saturday, to respond to the settlers´ provocations and block the way for the flags rallies that they will organize near the villages of the West Bank on Monday.

The coordinator of the Popular Resistance Committees in the village of Kafr Qaddoum, Murad Shteiwi, said that "there are activities that will be organized in different parts of the West Bank to confront settlement activities on the mountaintops."

Shteiwi called for caution and the initiative to engage in popular resistance by being on the mountains and hills to prevent settlement activities.

For his part, the coordinator of the forces and factions in the Nablus governorate, Nasr Abu Jaish, called on citizens to “block the road to the provocative settlers’ marches, which are scheduled at crossroads, and raise the Palestinian flags on all the high hills.”

Abu Jaish said that “the national action factions will meet today in the office of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement Fatah in Nablus, to discuss the steps that can be taken to confront the expected settlers’ marches.”

According to Israeli media, the settlers plan to stage 14 marches, similar to the flag march organized by settlers on Tuesday in Jerusalem.
