The Israeli occupation forces confiscated agricultural land in the village of Jalmeh, east of Jenin, along the camp on the village grounds.
Abu Farha, a former president of the village council, and one of the owners of confiscated land, was quoted by the Wafa agency as having confiscated some 29 dunums of land west of Jenin Street, near al-Jalmeh camp, which is located on the village grounds, under the pretext of "security reasons."
He added that the land belonged to the heirs of: Osman Abdelhadi, Fawzi Sadiq, Abderrahim Mohamed Marei, Reda Hassan, Mahmoud Qasim Abdullah Saeed, Sadiq Hasan, all of them from the Abu Farha family, and the Palestinian company for the development of industrial zones.
"The purpose behind the confiscation is not as the occupation authorities claim for security reasons and arguments, but with the aim of ASTHDAMHA to assemble the harvest, cement, stone and sand in those high-fertility agricultural lands, thus polluting the environment," Abu Farha said.
