The United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nikolai Mladenov, said Gaza requires a political solution that removes closures, builds unity and guarantees security for all.
Mladenov said on Twitter on Monday that urgent aid could help avoid escalation.
Today, he visited one of the 70 farms that received solar panels to generate electricity through the FAO project, funded by the Netherlands, he said.
Mladenov left the Gaza Strip this evening after meeting with the leadership of Hamas, where he discussed with her the two sides of the Palestinian elections and understandings with the Israeli occupation.
