Israeli occupation army Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday he saw the need for a "severe blow" to Hamas in Gaza, saying that Palestinian protests and acts of "violence" could not be allowed to continue on the borders of the Gaza Strip.
Lieberman said the decision in this regard is not due to him, but to the small Ministerial Security Council, calling on the board to take firm decisions.
"The situation cannot continue as it is today," Liberman said during his visit to the Israeli military base "rim ", which is located near the Gaza Strip. We are not ready to accept the weekly violence series.
"To restore the situation to the pre-29 March March is not done by a settlement of the situation, but by a severe blow to Hamas only," he said, "This is the result I reached with the army commanders."
