Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard announced, Tuesday, that his country will participate in the final stage of clinical tests for four vaccines for the emerging corona virus.
The Mexican government has signed memoranda of understanding with "Janson" companies, a Belgian subsidiary of "Johnson & Johnson", and two Chinese biotechnology companies, "Can Sino Biology" and "Fax".
The Mexican government had announced earlier the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the French "Sanofi" for pharmaceutical industries
Ebrard said that the tests will start between September and January.
More than 170 vaccines are being developed around the world for the Coronavirus, which has killed more than 700,000 people.
Mexico has recorded 53,000 deaths from the virus, and it is the third largest country in the world in terms of death rates due to Corona.
