Kia unveils new generation carnival

Kia Motors Corp., the second largest car producer in South Korea, unveiled the all-new design of the car "Carnival" minivan, before it was introduced to the local market in South Korea in The third quarter of this year.

The South Korean Yonhap News Agency quoted Kia as saying that the fourth generation of the "Carnival" car comes with a new dynamic network at the front and a broad side line along the length of the car.

At the rear, the side line extends to the rear of the car, merging with the taillights. The roof of the car appears to be somewhat tilted to the rear, and ends at the tailgate.

The South Korean company did not reveal more technical details of the new generation of the car "Carnival".

The Carnival is considered one of the best selling Kia cars, as more than two million cars of this type have been sold in the world market since it was first launched in 1998.

The disclosure of the new generation of the Kia car comes at a time when economic data showed an increase in domestic sales and a decline in exports to South Korean automakers in May, due to declining demand as a result of the pandemic of the Corona virus emerging (Covid19-) that affected more than 7 Millions of people around the world.

The South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy stated that local car companies exported about 95.4 thousand cars last month, down 57.6 percent from the same month last year.

On the other hand, car sales in the South Korean market increased last month by 9.7 percent annually to 168,778 cars thanks to the companies´ marketing and promotion campaigns.

Meanwhile, exports of Kia Motors, affiliated with Hyundai Motor Group and South Korea´s second largest auto maker, fell last month by 58 percent annually.
