A young man was shot dead by the Israeli occupation police late Friday for allegedly trying to carry out a stabbing in the old City of occupied Jerusalem, near the door of the Council.
After the incident, the Israeli occupation police closed four doors of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and imposed tight security measures in the old town and its surroundings, and closed the Bab al-Amud area.
The Israeli police spokesman said police forces were at the scene and the investigation was underway.
