Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is still the richest man in the world, followed by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, according to Forbes magazine´s annual list of world´s richest people.
But although the list has not changed significantly, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg´s rankings have fallen three degrees, while former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has risen two degrees.
According to the list announced by Forbes, the wealth of Bezos (55 years) increased by about 19 billion dollars in one year, now amounted to 131 billion dollars.
Bezos, who owns 16 percent of Amazon, whose wealth has now become a target for the left-wing Democratic Party, has expanded the financial gap between him and Gates, a well-known philanthropist and co-founder of Microsoft.
Gates, 63, has seen his wealth increase to $ 96.5 billion, up from $ 90 billion last year, Forbes said.
Buffett, 88, an investment tycoon, took third place, despite being hit in late February by a substantial drop in the shares of Kraft Heinz for processed foods.
Buffett´s wealth fell by about $ 1.5 billion to $ 82.5 billion, according to Forbes.
Bernard Arnault, chief executive of French luxury goods company LPHM, remained fourth on the list. Zuckerberg lost $ 9 billion from his net worth and slipped from fifth to eighth.
Mexican businessman Carlos Slim, the founder of Zara and Inditex Spain´s Amancio Artiga and co-founder Larry Ellison of Oracle, were also present at Zuckerberg.
Bloomberg´s ranking rose from 11 to 9, with its wealth rising to $ 55.5 billion from $ 50 billion, according to Forbes.
Americans still dominate the list, with 14 out of 20 billionaires.
Non-Americans ranked among the 20 richest people, including Indian Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, who ranked 13th, and Chinese Ma Huateng, president of the 20th-century Internet giant Tenset.
