Italy: Corona death toll rises to 52, and injuries to 1835

The Italian authorities announced today, Monday, the number of new deaths of the Corona virus in Italy, to 52 after registering 18 new deaths on Monday, and the number of infected people to 1835 cases.

The Director-General of the Italian Civil Defense, Angelo Burrello, said in press statements that 15 deaths were recorded, Monday, in the region of "Lombardia", and three in the region "Emilia Romagna" in the north of the country.

Borello added, "Corona cases increased in turn to 1835."

He explained that the number of people who underwent treatment for the virus after infection with it, reached 149 people.

It is noteworthy that the Jordanian authorities announced today the discovery of the first cases of infection, "Corona" virus for a citizen coming from Italy.

The mysterious virus appeared in China, for the first time on December 12, 2019, in the city of "Wuhan", but Beijing officially revealed it in mid-January.

According to the latest official statistics, the number of deaths due to the Corona virus around the world has exceeded 3,000, while the infection rate in China, the virus´s habitat, has decreased.

Countries are still taking strict precautions to contain the virus, which has spread to more than 60 countries.
