Nablus _ Palestine News Network
The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday suppressed a peaceful march that went out towards a roadblock south of Nablus, supporting Jerusalem, and rejecting Israeli policies against its militants.
Israeli soldiers stationed at the checkpoint were targeted by rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters, injuring scores of participants.
The procession started from the Martyrs roundabout in the center of Nablus, towards the barrier of dialogue, with the participation of a number of representatives of national, official and popular events.
The Secretary of the Fatah movement in Nablus, Jihad Ramadan, said the rally came in response to the occupation of the militants and their arrest in Jerusalem.
Several days ago, the Israeli occupation launched a massive campaign of arrests, affecting the governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, and dozens of members of the Palestinian security services and Fatah.
