Jahanpur added in his press statement today, Saturday, that during the past 24 hours, 2560 new cases of Corona virus were recorded, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus in the country to 55 thousand and 743 cases so far, including 4103 in a critical situation, according to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).
He added that the number of people recovering from the virus reached 19,736 people as of Saturday noon, but unfortunately, 158 people have died in the past 24 hours, taking the number of people who died from the virus to 3452 people.
It is noteworthy that Iran is ranked seventh among the countries with the highest rates of injuries and deaths in the world, after the United States, Italy, Spain, Germany, China and France.
