Dozens of citizens were suffocated by tear gas, today, Friday, and a foreign solidarity was arrested, during the Israeli occupation suppression of a popular event against settlements in the "Al-Ras" area, west of the city of Salfit.
The coordinator of the factional coordination file in the Salfit region, Ammar Amer, said, “The settlers and the occupation soldiers chased the participants in the march, with the aim of preventing them from reaching the outpost in the Ras area,” stressing the continuation of popular activities in the area until the outpost is removed.
In turn, the Secretary of the “Fatah” movement, Salfit region, Abdel Sattar Awad, affirmed that “these lands are Palestinian, and every olive tree and stone on this land has a story of steadfastness and defiance against the occupier, and the land will remain bearing the Palestinian identity despite the bullying practiced by settlers and the occupation army,” calling on everyone to Standing against this fierce settlement attack aimed at stealing the lands of citizens in the governorate.
For his part, the Director General of Popular Action and Support for Resilience in the Commission for Resistance of the Wall and Settlement, Abdullah Abu Rahma, said that the occupation seeks to seize more lands in the Salfit Governorate to complete the settlement project with the so-called “Greater Ariel”, by linking all the settlement outposts in the area, and isolating The governorates separated from each other to implement the annexation scheme.
It is noteworthy that the event came at the invitation of the National Action factions, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission and the Salfit municipality, and the owners of threatened lands, foreign solidarity, and a crowd of citizens participated.
