Indonesia has deported an American woman because of her tweets on Twitter. Today, Wednesday, immigration authorities said about her that she encouraged other foreigners to move to Bali province during the outbreak of the Corona virus.
Christine Gray and her friend Sundra were questioned by immigration officials, Tuesday, after a heated online discussion about her Twitter posts, which have since been removed.
Jamaroli Hotauruk, director of the local immigration department, said Gray´s tweets calling on other foreigners to move to Bali during a pandemic violate international travel protocol.
In her tweets, Gray referred to the cheap cost of living and said she and her friend were able to "improve their lifestyle".
