During the month of August of this year, the Israeli occupation authorities arrested (607) Palestinians from the occupied Palestinian territory, including (59) children and (13) women, and the arrests in Jerusalem constituted the highest percentage. As in every month, followed by Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jenin.
The month of August witnessed a high intensity of violations and crimes carried out by the occupation, including field executions, the policy of collective punishment, and the implementation of more organized arrests, which were accompanied by grave violations against detainees and their families, and the occupation authorities reached their violations and reprisals after transferring them to investigation centers. And the arrest, in addition to the recording of various injuries, some of them severe, among the arrest, shot by the occupation army.
Prisoners and human rights institutions indicate ; (Detainees Affairs Authority, Palestinian Prisoner Club, Addameer Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights, and Wadi Hilwe Information Center - Jerusalem), indicated that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in occupations reached about (4,650) prisons, until the end of August 2022, including ( 32 female prisoners, about (180) minors, and (743) administrative detainees, including two female prisoners, and four children.
The highest rate of arrests during August was in Jerusalem, amounting to (148) cases, including (30) children and minors, and (7) women, followed by Hebron with (118) cases, and Bethlehem with (96) arrests, while the number of arrests reached Administrative detention orders issued during the month; (272) orders, including (143) new orders, and (129) renewal orders.
