Huawei launches its P40 smartphones

(Xinhua) Huawei released on Thursday its P40 smartphones during an online event at the time of the new Corona virus outbreak.

The latest flagships are the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro +, Huawei´s self-developed application environment system.

Yu Chengdong, CEO of consumer business at Huawei, said that due to limitations Huawei devices cannot use Google services, so Huawei has developed an alternative.

Yu continued: "Of course, we hope to continue our cooperation with Google, but we have developed our own alternative," adding that Huawei´s system has more than 1.3 million developers worldwide, and the number will increase in the future.

Yu pointed out that the devices have three cameras on the P40 phone, four cameras on the P40 Pro phone and five cameras on the P40 Pro phone, smartphones are powered by the Kirin 990 chipset for the fifth generation (Kirin 990 5G).

In February, the Chinese technology giant launched the second generation of its foldable smartphone, Mate Xs, also during an online event.
