Venezuela´s opposition leader Juan Guido has called on citizens to demonstrate on Saturday, known as Operation Freedom, to pressure President Nicolas Maduro to resign.
Guido, recognized by more than 50 countries as interim president of Venezuela, said the ongoing demonstrations in the country for months had entered a "decent stage".
"We will go out to the streets to save our rights, our democracy and our freedom," he said in a tweet on Twitter on Friday.
In the capital, Caracas, protesters are scheduled to hold marches to the headquarters of the state-run Corboyleck Power Company after a major power outage paralleled many areas.
The marches come shortly after the Constituent Assembly, loyal to Maduro, has been beaten of his parliamentary immunity, which could lead to his arrest.
The United States and Colombia, two of Guido´s main supporters, have warned Maduro of Guido´s detention.
Colombian President Ivan Duki said on Wednesday that the move would lead to "a firm response."
Maduro won a second term in an election boycotted by most opposition parties in May.
