The Secretary of the Palestinian Embassy in France, Qais Kasabri, participated in a day of solidarity with the Palestinian people entitled "Seven Hours for Palestine", in the city of Lille-Ville-Nouvel-Dask.


Kassabri, representing Ambassador Salman Herfy, participated in a panel discussion organized by the French Solidarity Society for Palestine, along with the President of the Belgian Solidarity Association for Palestine, member of the Parliament of the Walloon Picard of Belgium, Serge Ostache. Kassabri thanked the French-Palestinian Solidarity Association in the French city and all its branches for their hard work to keep the Palestinian issue alive and present in French and European public opinion.


Attendees laid out the daily Israeli violations against our people, their land, their abilities and their wealth, especially in the occupied city ​​of Jerusalem and the settlement acceleration through which Israel tries to impose new facts on the ground aimed at depriving the Palestinian people of the possibility of achieving their legitimate national demands in a sovereign and independent state within secure and recognized borders. With Jerusalem as its capital, and the return of refugees to their homes and the application of hundreds of resolutions of international legitimacy that guarantee the Palestinian people legitimate rights.


He pointed to President Mahmoud Abbas directing the Central Election Commission to begin its work in preparation for the legislative and presidential elections, and the importance of these elections, which come with the aim of restoring Palestinian national unity on the basis of renewing legitimacy through the ballot boxes, and called on the European friendship associations with Palestine to address the European authorities to help Palestine in this process. He stressed the Palestinian position announced by the President and the Palestinian leadership to reject the deal of the century and adhere to the Palestinian national rights and the struggle to achieve them, stressing that the Palestinian people, who lived on their land for thousands of years and never left it will not abandon it for any reason and will continue its struggle until the achievement of freedom, justice and peace.


The solidarity day organized by the city of Lille - Phil Nove Dask, included several events, including the presentation of an educational game dedicated to children under the name "Long live Palestine", and the organization of a photo exhibition entitled "Palestine: from the Nakba to today" included pictures that summarized the modern history of Palestine under occupation From the Nakba of Palestine to the present day.


The solidarity day also included poetry and theatrical readings, the presentation of certificates to a number of activists of the Association who visited Palestine recently, and a lunch that included the most famous Palestinian traditional cuisine.
