Dozens of people were injured Friday in a peaceful march in Ras Karkar Village, west of Ramallah, as a result of the Israeli occupation forces ´ repression of attempts by the occupation to seize the land of the citizens of Jabal al-Ricin in favour of settlement expansion.
Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs and tear gas to the citizens who were performing Friday prayers over the land under threat of seizure, injuring dozens of them in suffocation.
"This battle will continue until the Israeli occupation plans to seize and expel the citizens ´ land are thwarted, as is the case in several areas, including the village of al-Khan al-Ahmar, east of occupied Jerusalem," said Walid Assaf, head of the Resistance Authority for the wall and settlement, who was present at the rally.
Assaf reiterated the seriousness of the settlement plan that the occupation is trying to implement in the villages of the west of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, which aims to link the settlements erected on the territory of the citizens in those areas, the settlement "Modiein " and the territory of 1948, and isolate them from each other.
Assaf called on the masses of our people to stand in the face of all the plans, to support the people in Ras Karkar, and to participate in events that reject the looting of the land.
