Hundreds of Arabs and Turks demonstrated in Istanbul on Friday in support of the Palestinian cause, coinciding with the first anniversary of the return of the Palestinians and the 43rd day of the Palestinian Land Day.
The demonstration was organized by the Turkish Association for Solidarity with Palestine (Vidar), where participants raised the flag of Palestine and pictures of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and signs calling for the movement to support Palestine and Islamic holy sites.
In a statement followed by the demonstration, the assembly called for "standing by the rights of the Palestinian people and adhering to the national principles."
