China announced its intention to hold its fifth World Internet Congress (WIC) by November in the city of Chen, where it will be the largest of its kind in the country´s history.
The official announcement of the upcoming conference came during remarks made by China´s vice-director of cyberspace, Liu Leong, who noted that the Conference will focus on promoting cooperation and trust between the world´s countries and companies, in the field of the Internet and the digital world.
The agenda also revolves around the exchange of experiences and inventions in the field of the Internet and the promotion of international cooperation in the field of digital security.
In the same vein, the conference includes more than 19 events, which will be accompanied by a discussion of: artificial intelligence, the "digital Silk Road ", and other international projects.
China has extended official invitations to thousands of government and private entities, including States, international organizations, businesses, entrepreneurs, inventors and others.
Through the conference, China aspires to lay the groundwork for creating a global Internet governance system that better regulates the use of the network and reduces its long-term non-peaceful risks.
