Today, Saturday, the Chinese authorities announced the registration of eight new cases of the emerging "Corona" virus during the past 24 hours.
According to the National Health Committee, the total number of injuries on the mainland (the areas under its rule, excluding the special administrative regions) increases to 82 thousand and 941 cases, while the total number of deaths stabilizes at 4,633 cases. She added that two cases of "local" infection were recorded in Jilin Province (northeast China), while no cases of the virus were recorded in Hubei Province, with the capital of Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus. The committee said that it also recorded six cases of "incoming" cases for travelers coming to China, five of which were in the city of "Shanghai" and one case in "Hainan", bringing the total number of injuries to 1698 cases. She explained that there are 13 new cases of the virus without symptoms while there were no new deaths recorded by the virus until the end of Friday. She revealed that ten people have left hospitals during the past 24 hours after recovering, bringing the total number of people recovering since the emergence of the virus and its spread to date, to 78,219 people. The committee indicated that 89 people are still receiving treatment and 5 thousand and 53 people under medical supervision after contact with patients infected with the virus, including 745 people who left the medical observation. Regarding the cases outside the mainland, the committee noted 1052 confirmed cases as of the end of Friday, including four deaths in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and 45 cases in the Macao Special Administrative Region, while Taiwan registered 440 cases, including seven Death cases. She pointed out that 1019 patients in "Hong Kong", 43 in "Macau" and 387 in "Taiwan" left hospitals after they recovered. It is noteworthy that the "Corona" virus appeared for the first time in December 2019, in Wuhan, the capital of the Chinese province of Hubei, and soon spread to other parts of the world. As of Saturday morning, Corona afflicted more than 4 million and 620 thousand people in the world, of whom more than 308 thousand died, and more than one million and 755 thousand recovered.
