Chinese provinces and municipalities announced on Thursday that more patients infected with the new Coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals.
Four patients who contracted the virus recovered in east China´s Jiangxi Province and were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, after three other reported cases of recovery.
Zhang Wei, an expert with the Jiangxi Provincial Emergency Center for Epidemic Prevention and Control, said that based on the analysis of the treated patients, early detection and timely treatment are key to recovery.
Southwest China´s Sichuan Province reported the first patient to recover from the pneumonia caused by the new Coronavirus today.
The Sichuan Provincial Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine said that a patient, 34-year-old Yang, was isolated for treatment in Chengdu City on January 11. Yang was diagnosed with the new Coronavirus after ten days, receiving treatment for traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine during isolation.
A 57-year-old female patient was treated and discharged from hospital in central China´s Hunan Province, near Hubei Province, epidemic center, today.
In Beijing, a doctor recovering from the new coronavirus recovered after traveling to Wuhan and left hospital today. This was the fifth case in the capital, which recovered and was discharged from hospital.
