The King and Queen of Bhutan are awaiting the arrival of their second child soon.
Today, Sunday, King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk (40 years) and Queen Getson Pima (29 years old) are considering the arrival of their second child by the end of this March or early April, said Deepika Chitri, the royal press spokeswoman.
During the National Day celebrations of Bhutan on December 17, the king announced that he was waiting for his second child during the spring.
The Royal Information Office released a picture of the royal couple, along with their first child, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuk (4 years old), inside the throne hall of Tashishhodzhong Castle.
"This is the first image released to the queen since the king´s announcement last December," Chhetri said by phone.
Jigme Khesar was crowned in 2008 after his father abdicated the throne in order to make way for democracy, as his son was installed as king in the framework of a constitutional monarchy.
