Within the framework of its social program for the current year 2022, the Bait Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency will launch, from July 1st to July 1, 2022, a camping program in Jerusalem for the benefit of three thousand beneficiaries of the city´s children, aged between six And sixteen years, distributed over 13 camps, with a financial package of about one hundred thousand US dollars.
The Agency chose the environment, climate, hygiene, water and nature as a unifying theme for this year´s camps to raise awareness among young people of these issues, which are gaining attention, in light of the natural, demographic and epidemiological changes that the world is experiencing.
It was approved, within the budget allocated to the camps in Jerusalem, to support some logistical equipment for the camps, uniforms, stationery, intelligence and three-dimensional games, in addition to water pumps, while the selected institutions are responsible for framing the camps, securing participants and mobilizing qualified human resources.
For the first time, activities are organized for the benefit of a children´s camp inside the library of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and four camps were chosen to be organized inside the Old City of Jerusalem, including a camp for the children of the Moroccan community in the Holy City.
The other camps were distributed in the neighborhoods of Beit Hanina, Shuafat camp, Silwan neighborhood, Wadi Al-Joz, Ras Al-Amoud and Bab Al-Sahira.
This program falls within the framework of the activities of the Agency’s “Children for Jerusalem” club, which sponsors activities directed at Jerusalem’s childhood and sets appropriate eligibility criteria that respond to the expressed needs and are compatible with the financial capabilities available to the Agency.
