An explosion occurred in front of the Israeli embassy in New Delhi on Friday, causing damage to cars without causing injuries, police said.
A security cordon was imposed in the vicinity of the embassy after the explosion, and police and explosives disposal experts rushed to the scene.
A police statement said that the explosion was caused by a "very weak improvised explosive device" that smashed the windows of three neighboring cars.
The statement added, "First impressions indicate a malicious attempt to create a stir."
In February 2012, a bomb blast targeting an Israeli diplomatic vehicle in New Delhi injured four people.
The recent explosion took place near the place where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a number of government and military officials were watching a military parade.
The Indian capital is witnessing tight security measures due to protests by farmers, rejecting government reforms affecting their sector, which were interrupted by riots this week.
