US fighter planes on Saturday intercepted four Russian reconnaissance planes off the coast of Alaska, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said.
The command said on its account on Twitter: that American F-22 fighters intercepted four Russian Tu-142 reconnaissance aircraft as they entered the Alaskan air defense identification zone on Saturday.
And the leadership stated that "the Russian planes remained in the international airspace, and they never entered the airspace of American sovereignty."
