Leading American critics have chosen Chloe Chow´s "Newlandland" as the best film of the year 2020.
The National Society of Film Critics declared the film the victory in a tweet on Saturday.
"No Man´s Land" won Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Actress for actress Frances McDormand.
The events of the movie revolve around the 63-year-old McDormand collecting her belongings in her car and going for a tour of the American West, after the economic collapse of a small town.
Actor Delroy Lindo, 68, won the Best Actor award for his role as a veteran Vietnamese soldier in Spike Lee´s "Da Five Bulls".
