Amazon encourages children to read with new computers

Amazon.com has unveiled new tablets for children to help them read books and e-stories.

The first Kindle Kids Edition came with an elegant, shock-resistant chassis with E Ink display

6-inch e-ink technology with 167 ppi resolution is for reading electronic text only.

The device also has a battery that can run for two weeks in standby mode, for long hours when used for reading, and front lighting.

The buyers of this computer get a warranty for two years, and FreeTime Unlimited service for a year, and this device provides children with distinctive screen backgrounds suitable for their age, in addition to electronic decorations to encourage them to read more.

The new Fire 10 Kids Edition has a shock-proof chassis, software and apps that help children read and watch their own programs and stories online.
