The body of the martyr Muammar Arif al-Atrash, 42, who has been held in the Israeli occupation refrigerators for 103 days, was held on Saturday by a large crowd of people.
The funeral procession was launched from the Al-Ahli hospital in Hebron, right up to his home, and after his family´s last farewell look, mourners performed the funeral prayers on the body at the Palestine Polytechnic University mosque "Abu Eisheh " Before buried the wealthy in the tomb of martyrs in the Wadi al-Hareya area, with official participation and popular.
Participants in the funeral procession, which toured several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron, lifted the Palestinian flags, chanting slogans denouncing Israeli crimes against children, women, the elderly and citizens, calling on the countries of the world to intervene and stand with our people, who are subjected to ongoing Israeli aggression.
During their participation in the funeral, the mourners called on the civil and public figures of the province to press the Israeli occupation government to hand over all the bodies of the detained martyrs.
The coordinator of the National Campaign for the recovery of the bodies of martyrs detained by the occupation Amin al-Bayed said 24 martyrs had been detained for many years by the occupation, and three martyrs had been detained in the last two years in refrigerators.
According to the people of the martyr al-Atrash, "Wafa ", the Israeli occupation soldiers are firing bullets towards our unarmed population without any justification, which is evident in the filming of the video which documented the execution of the young Moamer and other martyrs who have risen in the city of Hebron and other governorates of the country.
"Our people will not and will continue to defend their holy places, property and national assets, in light of the international inability and silence for the crimes of the occupation and its settlers," he said, calling on the international community to intervene swiftly to stop this Israeli disregard for the lives of our people.
They stressed the need to join forces and achieve national unity in order to confront this Israeli onslaught on the holy places and on all our Palestinian people of all walks of mind and factions.
It is noteworthy that the martyr al-Atrash rose by the Israeli occupation forces on al-Sahl Street near the tomb of the Ibrahimi Mosque, claiming his intention to carry out an appeal, in the 22 October last year.
