“Prisoners’ Committee”: Continuing the crime of medical negligence against prisoners in the occupation prisons

The Commission for Detainees and Ex- Prisoners Affairs confirmed that the occupation authorities and their prison use the crime of medical negligence as a tool to kill prisoners physically and psychologically, by letting diseases spread inside their bodies, and with the passage of time it becomes difficult to cure them.

In a statement, the authority said that the prisoners´ health problems in the beginning are simple and can be treated if full health care is provided in a timely manner, but the prison administrationly ignores them for long periods that may reach for years, which turn into serious and chronic diseases over time.

The authority indicated that hundreds of prisoners are living a complicated life as a result of the various diseases they suffer from, such as cancer, heart failure, kidney failure, pressure, diabetes, etc., and there are also many cases of mental and neurological diseases.

The commission called on all international institutions to carry out their responsibilities to see the conditions that prisoners live in inside prisons and isolation cells, which lead to disease infecting prisoners and the death of some of them.
