A number of local and Jerusalem journalists organized a sit-in in front of the entrance to the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem against the attacks and violations against the press crews by the Israeli occupation police.
For about two weeks, the occupation forces have besieged the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and closed its entrance with concrete blocks.
The journalists ’stand today comes against the repeated attacks by the occupation police on journalists and their arrest. During the stand, the journalists raised banners rejecting the attacks on them.
On the other hand, the occupation forces refused to allow journalists carrying the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate card to enter the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and only allowed journalists carrying the "Israeli Press Card only" to enter the neighborhood.
