American media reported that a mother and her six children died after a fire broke out in a house in the South American state of Mississippi.
The local WGTV television station, quoting a spokesperson for the city administration, added that the fire that occurred in the town of Clinton resulted in nothing but the head of the family.
The local newspaper, "Clarion Ledger", said that the mother is 33 years old, while her children are between one and fifteen years old.
The media quoted a spokesman for the authorities as saying that investigations are still underway to uncover the cause of the fire, but that there is preliminary evidence indicating that the house was deliberately set on fire.
