An American woman was killed after being attacked by a crocodile before being kidnapped near a lake in the US state of South Carolina.
Authorities in South Carolina announced the killing of a woman in a crocodile attack while walking with her dog near a lake.
The police, the South Carolina Natural Resources Authority and the resort´s security personnel are looking for the crocodile.
The Office of the head of the Beaufort Provincial police said in a statement: The attack occurred around 9:00 a.m. Monday at the sea-Pines Resort on Hilton Head, according to the "Sky News" site.
The crocodile, believed to be 2.5 meters long, attacked the woman, pulling it under water, he added.
The police department stated that her dog had not been harmed
