The Israeli police on Wednesday began to promote a bill that would allow prisoners to be undressed even in the absence of any suspicion.
According to the Hebrew newspaper, the bill aims to inspect prisoners after undressing in order to prevent them from entering any prohibited objects inside the cells, even if they are not suspected of trying to smuggle something.
She said the Constitution and Law Commission will discuss the bill on Wednesday with a view to voting on it soon.
The newspaper did not mention whether the law targeted Palestinian prisoners or the criminal.
