897 Attacks by the Occupation and Settlers During July

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority stated that Israeli occupation forces and settlers carried out 897 attacks against our people, their properties, and sacred sites during the past month of July.

In its monthly report on "Occupation Violations and Expansionist Measures" for July, the authority explained that these attacks ranged from direct assaults on civilians, to land destruction and confiscation, to village raids and uprooting of trees, and the seizure of properties. The highest concentration of these attacks was reported in Jerusalem with 148 incidents, followed by Nablus with 140 attacks, and then Hebron with 113 attacks.

The report also highlighted that the number of attacks carried out by settlers in July reached 202 incidents. These attacks included organized and dangerous assaults in places like Al-Ma'arajat, Am Saffa, Kafr ad-Dik, Jalud, Aqraba, Al-Qubun, and others. The majority of these settler attacks targeted Nablus with 65 incidents, followed by Ramallah with 35 incidents, and Hebron with 28 incidents.

The President of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, Muayyad Shaban, emphasized that Nablus, especially in the southern part, has become the most vulnerable area to deliberate and continuous attacks by settlers over the past months. These systematic attacks can be considered war crimes and are attributed to the settlers' presence in settlements such as Yitzhar, Bracha, Itamar, Elon Moreh, and others, which form a divisive barrier for the governorate and aim to separate the northern and central West Bank from each other.

According to the report, the Israeli occupation authorities issued 139 demolition, stop-construction, and eviction notices to Palestinian structures in July, marking a record high that warns of potential increased demolitions in the coming period. Most of these notices targeted areas in Jericho with 53 notices and Hebron and Salfit with 19 notices each.

Furthermore, the report revealed that the Israeli forces conducted a total of 41 demolitions of homes, commercial structures, and livelihood sources in July, resulting in the destruction of 44 structures and livelihood sources. The majority of these demolitions were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron and Jerusalem.

In addition, the report documented a total of 2,552 trees being cut or uprooted, with the majority of these incidents occurring in Nablus, where 1,173 trees were uprooted, followed by Hebron with 695 uprooted trees.

Mr. Shaban added that during July, the Israeli authorities reviewed a total of 33 structural plans, leading to the approval of the construction of 310 settlement units. Additionally, 622 settlement units were deposited, targeting an area of 925,328 dunams of Palestinian lands.
