The Ministry of Health announced, on Sunday, five deaths and 453 new cases of Coronavirus, after examining 4,228 samples in West Bank and Gaza.
The ministry´s report stated that 360 new recoveries were recorded, indicating that the rate of recovery from the virus in Palestine reached 88.1%, while the rate of active infections reached 11.1%, and the death rate was 0.8% of all injuries.
Health added that 5 deaths were recorded in the West Bank (a 65-year-old citizen from Ya`bad, a 42-year-old citizen from Jenin, a 64-year-old citizen from Tulkarm, a 68-year-old citizen from Hebron, a 77-year-old citizen from Bani Naim).
Regarding recovery cases, 247 cases were recorded in West Bank (48 Hebron, 15 Jenin, 9 Salfit, 23 Tulkarm, 125 Ramallah and Al-Bireh, 27 Tubas), in addition to 113 in the Gaza Strip.
She added that the new casualties were distributed according to the following: Hebron Governorate (48), Nablus Governorate (104), Bethlehem Governorate (38), Qalqilya Governorate (23), Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate (39), Jenin (19), Jericho and Al-Aghwar (7) ), Salfit (20), Tulkarm (29), Tubas (5), the Gaza Strip (111), the suburbs of Jerusalem (10)
The Minister of Health pointed out that there are 41 patients in the intensive care rooms, including 8 patients on artificial respirators.
