Since the beginning of this year and until June 30, 2022, the Israeli occupation army has arrested (3873) Palestinian detainees, including (1896) from Jerusalem, and (64) from the Gaza Strip, and the number of arrest orders reached Administrative orders issued in the same period (862), including 398 new ones.
The total number of arrests during the month of June 2022 reached (464) citizens of the occupied Palestinian territories, including (70) children and (18) women.
The distribution of arrests during the mentioned month was as follows (159) from Jerusalem, which witnessed the highest rate of arrests, and (15) from the Gaza Strip. The number of administrative detention orders issued during the same month reached (153), including (58) new ones, and (95) Renewal order.
This came within a joint monthly report issued by the Prisoners and Human Rights Institutions (Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission, Palestinian Prisoners Club, Addameer Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights and Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem).
These institutions confirmed that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees held in the prisons of the occupation reached about (4,650) prisoners, until the end of June 2022, including (30) female prisoners, (180) minors, about (650) administrative detainees, and hundreds of prisoners. The patients, including 23 prisoners, were suffering from tumors and cancer of varying degrees, the most difficult of which was the case of the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid.
The report documents the most prominent systematic policies and violations implemented by the occupation authorities at several levels against Palestinian prisoners and detainees, in addition to the latest developments regarding their reality and conditions of detention inside prisons.
