Gaza: Closing of squares, parks and recreational cities, and tightening measures to prevent gathering during Eid Al Fitr

The Ministry of Interior in Gaza decided to close squares, public parks, and recreational cities, while tightening measures to prevent gathering during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

In a press statement, the Ministry of the Interior said, "Following up on the latest developments and developments related to confronting the Corona virus, and based on the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Interior and National Security has taken a series of precautionary measures."

She explained that the police will work to secure the establishment of Friday and Eid al-Fitr prayers, in accordance with the precautionary controls and procedures announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Health. She indicated that the police will tighten its control procedures for all gathering and congestion places, and will take action against the violating facilities.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that it would stop receiving stranded citizens from other countries through the crossings until June 30th, saying, "The procedures for closing all border areas, by land and sea, have been tightened," according to the statement.

It called on citizens to adhere to safety and preventive measures, limit movement and mobility, and limit them to necessity, and not to become complacent in light of recent developments and developments.
