New strict measures in Gaza to counter the spread of Corona

The spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior in Gaza, Iyad Al-Bazam, announced this evening, Tuesday, the imposition of more preventive measures, to cope with the high number of infections with the Coronavirus.

The measures included: Completely halting the movement of vehicles from 9 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, until 6:00 am Sunday (April 11), with the work of government institutions suspended during this period. And the closure of educational institutions, such as schools, universities, and kindergartens, from tomorrow, Wednesday, until further notice.

The statement stressed the maintenance of closing wedding halls, preventing gatherings, closing nightly daily at nine o´clock in the evening, closing weekly popular markets, and preventing parties and mourning homes in public streets.

 

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Gaza decided to switch from blended education to a full distance education system, starting tomorrow, Wednesday.
