The signing of a partnership agreement in Brussels between Palestine and the European Union

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Abdel Rahim Al-Farra, today, Thursday, on behalf of the State of Palestine and based on the authorization of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Malki, signed the Interim Euro-Mediterranean Partnership Agreement for Trade and Cooperation between the European Union and the PLO Palestinian.

The agreement on the general principles for the participation of the Palestine Liberation Organization in the European Union programs was signed at the headquarters of the Palestinian Embassy in the Belgian capital Brussels, where it was signed on the European side by the representative of Portugal to the European Union Ambassador Nuno Prieto, as Portugal presides over the current session of the European Union Council, and the director of the Neighborhood Department for Southern Mediterranean countries At the European Commission Henrique Troutman.

The agreement comes within the framework of cooperation between Palestine and the European Union in several economic, cultural and commercial fields.
