In a statement, the committee pointed out that the number of journalists detained in the occupation prisons has risen to 23.
And he considered the occupation army´s insistence on silencing and obstructing journalists from performing their professional duty, in contravention of the international conventions that guarantee freedom of journalistic work, it is a systematic policy intended to obliterate the truth and the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people.
She indicated that the occupation arrested the journalist Mujahid Mardawi from the town of Habla, south of Qalqilya, at the Karama crossing during his return from studying for a master’s degree in Malaysia. The committee denounced the occupation crimes against journalists, holding the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the continuation of the series of targeting journalists, calling on the International Federation of Journalists, the Union of Arab Journalists, and all international and Arab press associations and unions to denounce these crimes, provide protection and health safety, and work seriously and urgently for the release of the detained journalists.
