The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Thursday, that the laboratory examination device received from the Qatrba Committee has stopped due to the exhaustion of its operational materials.
In a statement, the ministry stated that the central laboratory has lost 50% of its ability to examine the Corona virus, noting that the laboratory is currently working with the basic device only.
She said, "The central laboratory has reached a dangerous stage of lack of laboratory materials."
She added: "The low level of the central laboratory´s ability to examine the Corona virus will affect the efforts of investigation and follow-up of contacts, suspected cases and random swabs within the community."
And it called on all parties to remedy the danger of running out of laboratory materials in the central laboratory before it completely stops examining the Corona virus.
