The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, today, Thursday, that one had been infected with the Coronavirus in the Gaza Strip from recent returnees through the Rafah crossing.
The ministry stated in a statement that the registered case was a rapid laboratory examination when entering the crossing, and the initial result was positive.
She indicated that the case was isolated and not in contact with anyone as soon as the results of the rapid laboratory examination were issued.
She pointed out that another laboratory sample was withdrawn to her immediately for a virus test, PCR, which confirmed that the case was infected with the Coronavirus.
The case was transferred from temporary isolation at the Rafah crossing to the isolation hospital to receive treatment according to strict preventive measures.
The Ministry called on everyone to adhere to preventive measures in order to preserve their safety and the safety of society.
