The Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki accused Apple and Google of submitting to Israeli pressure and blackmail to remove the name "State of Palestine" from their approved maps.
Al-Maliki said in an interview with the official Voice of Palestine radio, that the two companies´ move to "delete the name of the state of Palestine in their maps constitutes a violation of international law and subject to Israeli pressure and blackmail."
He added, "Apple and Google have been officially addressed in order to retract their move, and in case of non-compliance we will work to follow up the matter within the legal authorities, including filing lawsuits and complaints against the two companies."
