The Palestine Center for Prisoners´ Studies monitored 2250 cases of detention by the occupation of Palestinians in various governorates, during the first half of this year 2020.
Among the detainees are 350 minors, 69 women and girls, 12 journalists and media workers, 12 elderly people, in addition to the arrest of 35 patients and people with special needs, two deputies in the Legislative Council, and 5 cases of detention on the background of writing on Facebook .
Jerusalem occupied the highest number of detainees, with 1,050 arrests, followed by Hebron with 350 arrests. The Center has monitored 42 cases of arrests from the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this year.
