Gaza: End quarantine of 8 recoverers, no new injuries

Ashraf Al-Qudra, a spokesman for health in Gaza, said today, Saturday, that the medical team ended the quarantine of 8 people recovering from the Corona virus, while two cases are being followed up by the team at the Hajar Center at the Rafah crossing.

He pointed out that dozens of laboratory tests were carried out during the past hours and no injuries were recorded.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Health in Gaza is following 1971 health care in 28 quarantine centers, noting that the ministry is following a series of precautionary measures aimed at immunizing society.

He stressed the need to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, calling for the necessary support from laboratory testing devices, artificial respirators, and others to counter the Corona virus.

For his part, Salama Maarouf, head of the government media office in Gaza, called on citizens to be sufficiently responsible and not to be overcrowded in markets and shops.

He pointed out that the Public Prosecution will legally pursue those who violate the instructions that have been distributed by the competent authorities to shop owners and others.

Maarouf said, "Whoever thinks that we have crossed the dangerous stage about the most important Corona virus, especially in light of the intensification of the epidemic in the surrounding countries and the registration of cases in quarantine centers," calling on citizens to be cautious and take all necessary protection measures.

He called on the countries of the world and international institutions to move to provide the necessary assistance to the medical sector and others, to face the repercussions of the spread of the virus.

Maarouf denied that the Qatari scholarship is only intended to tackle the Corona virus, noting that it has many aspects, including disbursement to poor families, temporary employment, and others.
