Today, Saturday, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the return marches, Al-Mizan Center issued a report on the violations of the Israeli occupation forces against the participants in the return marches and the lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip during the period from (30 March 2018 to 28 March 2020).
The report includes a set of facts, which show the violations of the Israeli occupation forces against the peaceful participants in the return marches. It also includes the numbers of children and women victims, medical personnel and journalists.
Al-Mizan affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces committed, over two years, serious and grave violations against civilians participating in peaceful protests in the Gaza Strip, through its use of excessive and deadly force towards them, and intentionally causing harm to their ranks, while the participants did not pose any threat to the lives of members of those forces.
The report showed pictures of violations by the occupation forces of the principles of international law and United Nations standards in the use of firearms, and their violation of the right to life and physical integrity of civilians in general, and for children, women, persons with disabilities, medical personnel and journalists in particular, and causing severe bodily harm in their ranks, which caused In permanent disabilities of dozens of civilians, supported by section statements, figures and illustrative statistical tables.
According to Al-Mizan Center for Human Rights documentation, the number of victims of Israeli violations who participated in the return marches since its launch on 3/30/2018, and until the issuance of this report, reached (217) martyrs, including (48) children, two women, and (9) with Disability, (4) paramedics, and two journalists. (19237) were injured, including (4974) children, and (867) women. Of the injured (9517), they were shot with live bullets, including (2127) children and (191).
