Two agreements to support the health sector and camp development, valued at $ 21 million, from Japan

Under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, and the presence of the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency Kitaoka Shinichi and the Japanese Ambassador to Palestine Masayuki Magushi, two Japanese support agreements for Palestine, worth $ 21 million, were signed.

This came in the office of the Prime Minister in Ramallah, today, Monday, where he signed the first agreement on the Palestinian side, Health Minister Mai Kila, and Finance Minister Shukri Bishara, and on the Japanese side, a representative of "JICA" in Palestine Toshia Abi, amounting to 18 million dollars in favor of purchasing medical equipment Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, the European Hospital in Rafah, the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, and the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.

The second agreement was signed on the Palestinian side by a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Head of the Refugee Affairs Department Ahmed Abu Hawli, and the Minister of Finance Shukri Bishara, and on the Japanese side, a representative of "JICA" in Palestine, Toshia Abi, whose value amounted to 3 million dollars in favor of developing plans and improving the camps in the West Bank .

After the signing of the two agreements, the Prime Minister said: "This support is important in terms of timing because it aims to strengthen the capabilities of the Ministry of Health and its hospitals, on the path towards empowering the Palestinian people for independence and nation-building."

Shtayyeh thanked the JICA President and its representative in Palestine, and the Japanese Ambassador to Palestine, appreciating the continued Japanese support at various levels.
