Erekat calls on European countries to withdraw immediately from work in the settlements

Secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Saeb Erekat, sent written letters to foreign ministers: Britain, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, and Thailand, in addition to six American companies working in the settlements, inviting them to withdraw immediately from work in the illegal colonial settlements.

This came after Erekat held, today, Tuesday, separate meetings with the British Consul General, Philippe Hall, French Consul General Rene Turquoise, and the representative of the Netherlands to Palestine, Kiss Van Bar, during which they delivered letters to their foreign ministers.

Erekat called on these countries and companies to stop these flagrant violations of international law, and the obligation to adhere to them, stressing that companies that will not withdraw from work in settlements will be subject to legal accountability in international and national courts.
