Israeli occupation forces shot dead Faris Bassam Abu Nab, from Silwan town, in the tunnel towards Gush Etzion settlement and the town of Beit Jala.
The police spokesman said that the young man was seriously injured and was taken to hospital before he was pronounced dead, claiming that he tried to steal a car.
He pointed out that he was a resident of East Jerusalem, where four others who were with him were arrested and transferred to the interrogation center.
